The South Carolina Cancer Alliance's Men's UNITED for Health Initiative is dedicated to educating and empowering men across South Carolina about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of regular health screenings and doctor visits. Through community outreach, education, and strategic partnerships, the initiative works to reduce health disparities and encourage men to take a proactive approach to their health and wellness.

A key component of the initiative's success is the collaboration with trusted community leaders and organizations that are helping bring these important messages directly to the communities they serve.

One such partner is Davina Lloyd, CEO of People Over Profit Lloyd Foundation, Inc., who serves as an ambassador for the Men's UNITED for Health Initiative. Through her leadership and the work of her nonprofit organization, Davina and her team have played a significant role in educating men about screenable cancers and the importance of preventive healthcare.

People Over Profit Lloyd Foundation, Inc. was also selected as one of only ten organizations across South Carolina to receive a mini-grant through the competitive Men's UNITED for Health Initiative grant program. Through this funding and partnership, the organization continues to make a meaningful impact throughout Horry County and surrounding communities by increasing awareness, connecting individuals to resources, and promoting healthier lifestyles.

The initiative is also proud to partner with the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of South Carolina, whose leadership and commitment to community service have helped expand health education efforts among men throughout the state.

During a recent gathering, members of the Grand Lodge participated in the Men's UNITED for Health Pledge. After hearing the pledge, each participant proudly signed their name, making a personal commitment to engage, inform, and educate men about the importance of preventive healthcare, regular doctor visits, cancer screenings, and early detection.

By signing the pledge, these men demonstrated their dedication to serving as ambassadors for health within their families, organizations, and communities. Their commitment reflects the mission of Men's UNITED for Health: empowering men with the knowledge and resources they need to take charge of their health and encourage others to do the same.

Through partnerships with organizations like People Over Profit Lloyd Foundation, Inc. and the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of South Carolina, the South Carolina Cancer Alliance continues to expand the reach of the Men's UNITED for Health Initiative and strengthen community-based efforts to improve health outcomes for men across the state.

Together, we are building healthier communities, promoting life-saving cancer screenings, and creating a culture where men feel empowered to prioritize their health and well-being.
